My driveway is a lot more fun today.

Congrats! Are you taking it out for an early sunday morning ride?
I have an older manual trans VW CC. There isn’t anything particularly striking about my car on paper (although it is handsome, I think), VW’s 2.0 turbo motor and the feel from the driver’s seat make it a joy. I know many people have had bad experiences with VW reliability, but for many others - like me - they have been 100% rock solid, and a great value.
I browse GTIs (and Rs) once in a while as replacements. Please write a review after you get some miles passed under those plaid seats!

Congrats. Enjoy the next 2 years until it starts breaking down

More of a comparison, but my thoughts on it. https://oppositelock.kinja.com/fiesta-st-vs-golf-gti-after-1000-miles-1828955960

The Mk7 actually has a pretty great track record. The early car had some water pump and turbo issues, but those have been worked out. They really tried with the Mk7, and it really shows.

Yeah I know, I was joking. I have a Mk7 R. So far I’ve yet to have anything go wrong.

I’ll have you know that in the six months of my VW ownership I’ve only broken down three or four times
